THE BOOKING
- Booking and some subsequent contracts shall be deemed to have been concluded in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.
- And shall be interpreted according to the laws of the united republic of Tanzania.
- The company reserves the right to decline any booking without outlining the reason for it.
Deposits & Payments
- 30% deposit is required to secure of booking, this deposit forms part of the payments for the trip and shall be off set to the total amount charged to the client/ agent.
- If the full amount is not paid at least (4) weeks prior to departure, the company reserves the right to treat the booking as Cancelled and the deposit shall be forfeited.
- Clients/agents booking within (4) weeks of your departure are required to pay the full amount immediately to secure the reservation.
- All bank charges are to be settled by the client or agent respectively. This may include transaction fees charged by our banks.
- The amount shown in the invoice is the amount that needs to reflect in our account and should bank charges have been deducted we would have to invoice you subsequently.
Price
Prices are quoted in US dollars, all price are subject to change until the full amount has been paid. Once the full amount is paid, you will not be subject to any further price increases. Should prices or costs from suppliers increase due to inflation, currency depreciation, and /or increase in park fees and/or fuel surcharges, African Scenery Tours will have no other option than to pass on the same to you unless your invoice has already been paid in full.
All suppliers reserve the right to increase prices at any time of the year when costs increase outside the control of the supplier. Please not that when the client’s itinerary overlaps two seasons, the price will be prorated over the two seasons.
Child Rate
Child rate is only applicable to one or two children under 12 years of age sharing a room with two adults. In case of two children sharing a room with parents, the two children will share a bade, as most hotel and lodge cannot accommodate a fourth bed, One child sharing room with one adult will be charged full adult rate.
Single Travelers
Our safari costs are based on double occupancy. However we try to accommodate single travelers who request single accommodation, As well a single traveler who are looking for single roommate. If a single is requested or we are unable to find a suitable roommate, you will need to pay a single supplement. Single accommodation is not available on all safaris.
Booking Amendments
For amendments of the existing booking done by the client/agent (departure dates/ air tickets/accommodation/number of clients/meal type etc. a handling fee of 50 usd per booking applies.
That the handling fees will be charged in addition to the service provider fees.
Cancellation/postpone
To cancel /postpone the holiday must be done in written document in the office that had previously confirmed the booking cancellation shall only be effective from the date of receipt of Cancellation by the booking office.
In case of the booking cancellation, the Company must retain the full deposit , if booking is postponed the client is subject to a cancellation charges/fees as follows:
Until 4 weeks prior to departure_30% cancellation fee is required.
- A 4_2 week prior to departure _ 50%cancellation fee is required.
- 2_1 week prior to departure _ 75% cancellation fee is required.
- Less than one week, prior to departure_ 100% cancellation fee is required.
The company reserves the right to cancel/any tour at its sole and absolute discretion, without prior notification, in instances, where this is an avoidable, however, in the case the Company agrees to refund, all money already paid by the client/clients, this shall be the company’s sole responsibility to the client and no claim for any damages, howsoever arising, shall accrue against the company.
Baggage
At all times all baggage and personal effects are at the Client’s responsibility and the company does not accept any liability for any loss or damage to the property of the client, how so ever arising.
Clients are entitled to one bag of not more than 15kg. (Back pack or soft bag_ no hard top suit case), and a day pack. The company has the right to refuse an excess baggage, it is advisable that when one is on trekking tours, and on some “bush” flights other baggage regulations may apply.
Risk
The client accepts that all tours are of an adventurous nature and may involve some elements of personal risk .Neither the Company nor any of its agent can be held liable in any way for any bodily injury/loss of life or damage to the property, howsoever caused the clients here by indemnifies the company and will hold the company, its agents, assigns and servants harmless, from any such claim.

Authority
The decision of the company’s tour guide/driver on tour shall be at all times being final and binding, the client must at all times comply with laws, customs of all countries visited.
Marketing
The company is free and has a right to use photos and videos, taken during tours for marketing issues or any other advertising materials, the client hereby gives consent to use such photos and authorizes the Company to retain copyright for these photographs and such materials.
Major unforeseen
Unforeseen situation/Circumstances including but not limited to war, mechanical breakdowns, weather, riots and other unforeseen reasons beyond our control of the company shall not be held liable in any way for any of these possible occurrences or any Consequences, which may arise as a result of these.
