Kirurumu Manyara Lodge is set high on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, enjoying a marvelous, uplifting and panoramic view eastward over Lake Manyara, the Rift floor and Mt. losimingori.

Behind kirururmu, the Ngorongoro highland rise in green and fertile splendor and form the gateway to Ngorongoro Create and finally, Olduvai Gorge, the Serengeti.

Kirurumu Manyara Lodge has 27 tented rooms, 2 honeymoon suites and 2 family cottages, full en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, electricity, bar complete with sun-deck and panoramic views of the rift valley, dining room with waiter service.

Lake Manyara Tortilis Camp is made up of an impressive row of fully furnished tents sitting proudly at the foot of the Great African Rift Valley Escarpment, perfectly appointed to gaze over the vast expanse of Lake Manyara. It’s easy to succumb to the enticing sofa and chair in an exclusive game watching area in your tent, a serene space to sit back and marvel at the birds dancing over the lake or a troop of elephants passing by.

Wildlife surrounds the camp. Expect to hear the roaring of lions and to receive visits from hyena and buffalo. Bird lovers, feast your eyes on the many species of migratory storks, ibis, pelicans, as well as over 90 more species including thousands of flamingoes which have made the lake their home for much of the year along with eagles, hornbills, kingfishers and weavers.

Over two-thirds of the park is covered by water, so a guided walking tour is a must. Being so close to the hippos and elephants on foot is a thrill, while bird spotting so close to the lake provides the most colourful of spectacles. Waking up in Lake Manyara to experience the sunrise over the lake you’ll feel you’ve discovered a lesser-known treasure of Northern Tanzania.

Lake Manyara National Park is known for its tree-climbing lions, hippo pools and thousands of flamingos which give the lake a hazy pink tint. Here you can spot fish eagles, elephants, giraffes and the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world. We feel that Lake Manyara Green Camp the best location within this park.

Non-stop safari experience

This comfortable camp offers you a non-stop safari experience. It is located on the banks of the Endabash River in the south of the park, at the bottom of a huge waterfall, right in the heart of nature. From the rocks you have a beautiful view over the park down to the lake. The pools in the rocks provide the perfect retrieve for a cool (safe) swim on hot African afternoons.

View wildlife coming to the river to drink

The most impressive feature of this camp is definitely the wildlife coming to the river to drink. Some parts of the year, this river is the only source of water for miles around, attracting thousands of animals. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and thrilling visitors like elephants and buffaloes.

Stylish safari camp

Our camp comprises 8 square en-suite eco tents on raised platforms. Each tent can be set up as double, twin or triple for families. We also have adjoining tents with an enclosed walkway for families with older children. With cosy beds, stylish interiors and deck to relax on, each tent has been cleverly designed to offer the greatest comfort with minimum impact to the environment. Simple luxuries, comfortable beds, crisp linens, low flush toilets and classic bush showers ensure you can relax and wind down after a full day enjoying the wildlife. Our stylish central mess tent has lounge chairs and a small library so you can relax in complete comfort during the day.

All meals are prepared by a chef in a camp kitchen. Served by waiters as either plated of buffet, depending on the menu of the day. All meals are 3-course, well prepared home cooking. The camp has shared dining, however we are more than happy to set up private dining on request.

Ol Mesera is a small cozy camp with only big tents on magnificent spots, where we offer you personal service and attention. The exquisite birds and mammals and the exceptional beauty of the surrounding bush, are an escape from civilizations noise.
At the unique location of Ol Mesera you will have the feeling that there is not another human being for miles around. Which isnt entirely true as from time to time Maasai herds pass by with their cows, goats and sheep.
The other neighbours are an enormous variety of birds, we can say in all sincerity that we live in a Birds Paradise.

Larger game come to visit our place too, like impalas, giraffes, zebras, kudus, hyenas, dikdiks and occasionally a herd of elephants.
There are also the smaller animals like vervet monkeys, squirrels and mongoose and yes, weve even met leopards, though they can hardly be spotted by daylight.

There are six big tents under Acacia trees and giant Euphorbia cacti. They are built on the edge of an escarpment and all overlook the Selela Valley, towards the evergreen Ngorongoro Highlands.
The tents are well separated for privacy and have large verandas where you can sit in the shade and enjoy the view, until a magnificent sundown wishes you good night or usiku mwema in Swahili.

Africa Safari Lake Manyara lies between the foothills of Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, but even more striking is its location, which could easily be mistaken for the middle of a national park. Because of the large number of animals that are permanently present on the lodge’s premises, end of 2021 the area and its surroundings have been declared a Game Controlled Area (GCA).

The accommodation is a safari in itself with different room types spread across the various sites. The Luxury Glamping accommodations are reached by walking through the subtle bush to your own private ‘safari cabin’, complete with hammock, raised wooden deck, living room and beautiful rustic wooden interior. The premium bungalows share the same view as the restaurant area and you can’t imagine being closer to the wildlife. The Safari Comfort accommodations are spacious, and comfortable, having exterior canvas walls, a concrete floor and a permanent bathroom.

The swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas is conveniently located near the bar and main buildings. The solidly built restaurant offers a magnificent view of Lake Manyara itself.

Africa Safari Lake Manyara is considered a wildlife lodge and overnight stays are subject to GCA fees.

Often called Tanzania’s water wonderland due to the large number of birds and animals the lake supports, Lake Manyara NP is also famous for its’ tree-climbing lions.

At Haven nature you wake up in the morning with the beams of the sun finding their way through our natural vegetation especially, fig trees, acacias trees and varieties of indigenous trees and bushes, the site is in isolated hill tops, surrounded with valleys which gives good view landscape and its cool with only birds singing songs, it flourished with varieties of birds and for the lover Fischer’s birds it’s a place not to be missed, in additional there are small animals like dik-dik, monkeys and others seasonally immigrant animals which find their way to Lake Manyara National Park or Ngorongoro. Migunga Tented Camp is nestled in a quiet corner on the northwest of Lake Manyara. The camp is ideally situated in shade of an acacia forest, only 5 minutes from the entrance of Lake Manyara National Park. This is the ideal base camp to discover the beautiful surroundings of Lake Manyara, or pay a cultural visit to the colourful town of Mto Wa Mbu.

The camp is set in 35 acres of acacia forest and consists of 21 permanent tents on raised platforms, all with en-suite bathrooms and a private veranda overlooking the lush forest. All the tents are discretely placed around a central glade, offering shade and privacy, but still only a short walk to the restaurant and bar.

At Migunga you wake up in the morning to the sound of the forest, with beams of the sun finding their way through the tall trees. In the afternoon you can enjoy our mountain bike ride trail through Lake Manyara’s backyard or enjoy watching our vervet monkeys muck about on the central field. The evenings are resonating with the typical sounds of forest creatures, making your fairytale complete.
